Free Reign Restaurants

Welcome to Free Reign Restaurants, a dining collective founded by Ryan & Kelleanne Jones. We proudly operate four unique concepts in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, each offering a distinct culinary experience. Our mission is to create memorable moments around the table, where great food meets warm hospitality. Explore our journey, discover the passion behind our dishes, and learn what sets us apart in the vibrant culinary scene of Charleston.

Rooted in Hospitality

Hospitality is at the heart of everything we do. To us, it’s more than just good service—it’s a feeling. It’s the way a guest is welcomed, the way they’re seen, and the care that’s felt in every detail. We strive to create spaces that feel less like restaurants and more like an extension of our home—where people can settle in, connect, and leave feeling a little more cared for than when they arrived.

Ryan & Kelleanne Jones

Ryan and Kelleanne Jones have spent nearly three decades together building a life around food, family, and hospitality. Their story began through work, when Kelleanne hired Ryan as the Executive Chef of her catering business—and the two quickly fell in love. Since then, they’ve worked side by side every day, shaping not just restaurants, but a shared vision for how people gather.

Before Charleston, the Joneses spent a decade building a successful restaurant and catering company in Hartford, Connecticut. But they felt called to warmer weather, the coast, and a world-renowned culinary scene, so in 2016 they packed up their family and moved to Charleston, drawn by its energy, its food, and its connection to the water.

Free Reign began shortly after as a humble pop-up inside a tiny, 200-square-foot space at Workshop (a now-closed multi-concept food hall) equipped with nothing more than a wood-fired oven and a commitment to doing things with intention.

What started there has grown into a collection of restaurants—Community Table, Southbound, Honeysuckle Rose, and Allora—each one an expression of their belief that great hospitality is about more than what’s on the plate.

They are parents to four children and proud grandparents to one—and at the center of it all, still doing what they love most: welcoming people in, sharing a meal, and creating spaces where moments turn into memories.
